Biography
Wesley Flessner is currently attending The
University of North Texas College of Visual Arts and Design getting
a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art with a concentration in sculpture
and a minor in art history. Throughout his life, Wesley has been working with
his hands, making wood projects since he was a little kid and learning how to
weld when he was 10. He grew up around creative people, his mother loves to sew
and taught him how and his uncle does metalwork and taught him to weld. His
family of craftsmen and women surrounded him with influences that can be seen
in his work today. His art uses a range of materials and methods, making sure
that his art is not restrained to what he only knows, and takes pride in
spending time learning and developing his abilities. Doing so provides his audience
with a multitude of art styles and media that show off his craftsmanship and versatility.
Wesley’s art has been shown in the University of North Texas Sculpture Gallery as
well as UNTs Union Gallery. His work is currently
on display at UNT’s Health and Wellness center where he also achieved first place
in the Healing arts showcase.
